Hobbies
I love to teach, and I love biology. Sharing my love of biology and (hopefully) facilitating that excitement in others is something that I am constantly striving to do. As an undergrad, I had my heart set on teaching at the high school level; however, as I continued my education, I realized that some of the best and most enthusiastic teachers were ones who had done research in their field. This caused me to change my course and pursue experience in the field of biology before I enter the classroom. I am attending LIU-Post for my Masters of Science in Biology, working on a thesis track to gain experience in a research setting. I am also working as a Graduate Assistant for the department, which entails working in the tutoring center and as a TA during lab classes. In addition, I am working as an adjunct professor for introductory biology classes. After my Masters, I plan to move on to a PhD, which will give me more research experience and eventually allow me to teach at a college level. I am also a huge animal lover! I have ridden horses for most of my life and have taught riding lessons and riding camps since I was 16.
